faq:

Please take 2 minutes to read this page. It will help
Tiger-LAN run smooth. Even if you have been here 5 times, read below, we have made changes

HELPDESK: If you have a problem and need assistance go to the front row helpdesk. DO NOT attempt to flag
down a staff member. The helpdesk is keeping a log of problems and will dispatch someone to help you.

DON'T SHARE YOUR C DRIVE: If you don't know what this means or how to turn if on/off. Ask your neighbor.
If you are still unsure, go to the helpdesk. You are putting your computer files at risk by letting
everyone else in the room see what's on your computer.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES
  • NO FOOD Please eat in the hall outside the main room. We don't need you making a mess.

  • NO ALCOHOL If you need to drink, go to a bar.

  • NO ILLEGAL DRUGS If you need a hit go home.

  • NO SMOKING There is smoking outside for those who must destroy their lungs

  • NO SPEAKERS You must bring headphones, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • NO HACKING If the staff finds anyone attempting to hack into any computers, switches or other equipment on Tiger-LAN's network, you will be banned forever. This includes running port-scanning software. If you think there is the slightest possibility that what you are doing might be considered hacking, consult the Tiger-LAN Networking Staff BEFORE trying anything.

  • POWER RULES Tiger-LAN has not had power issues in the past, but in the event we run into them Staff will ask you to unplug extra devices, such as the user who brought a mini-fridge.

  • TOURNEY RULES Don't give the tournament staff grief, they are working hard. Not everyone is going to like the same rules. All specific tournament rules will be posted on the signup page before the tournament begins.

  • NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITY Tiger-LAN, like other institutions, does not permit or condone any type of illegal activity. This activity includes but is not limited to, the copying of illegal software, MP3s or distributing pornographic material to minors. Each machine is each player's personal responsibility/liability.

  • SERVER RULES Only one computer is allowed per person out on the floor. If you have a 2nd computer or server you would like to bring, it must sit up on Server Row, located in front of the Tourney Desk. You will have access to your 2nd computer, but we HIGHLY suggest you use some sort of remote connection ability. This rule prevents lack of port problems, and space issues out on the floor.
